Townsville Community Grants
As your local Member for Parliament, I’m proud to support the people and groups who make our community strong.
To ensure this support is accessible and fair, I’ve introduced the Townsville Community Grants program.
Through this initiative, grants of up to $250 are available to assist local community groups with equipment, events or essential costs, and to support individuals pursuing sporting, academic, or cultural opportunities.
There will be two rounds each year, with four grants available per round.
These grants are about backing Townsville locals who are making a positive difference.
Closing dates are 30 October and 30 May each year.
Seniors Cards
If you are 60 or older, you may be eligible for a Seniors Card or a Seniors Business Card.
These cards provide access to various government discounts and exclusive offers at thousands of businesses across the state. Submit your application for a Seniors Card.
Electoral Enrolment
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) oversees voter enrolments for federal, state, and local elections.
If you need to register to vote for the first time or update your address or personal details, you can do it online via the AEC website.
Request a Queensland Flag
Not-for-profit organizations and community groups may be eligible for a free Queensland flag, subject to the conditions set by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
Please submit your request for a flag to my office at [email protected]
Tours of Parliament House
A tour of Parliament House can be a fun and informative experience for both children and adults.
BBQs and morning teas can also be arranged as part of your visit.
If I am in Parliament on the day of your tour, I may have the opportunity to meet your group and enhance your experience.
Borrow a Marquee
If your community group or sporting club is hosting a special event and would like to borrow one of my marquees, please contact my office by email or phone to check availability for your preferred date.
